Lasagne Dolmio is a classic Italian recipe that rapidly became popular among many people.

It is full of layers of tasty ingredients, lashings of cheese and even involves pasta at some point in its preparation process.

The beauty of lasagne Dolmio is that it’s versatile, and you can add anything you want to it as long as it’s layered and delicious.

This includes vegetables, different meats, and lots more besides.

However, there is one secret to making the perfect lasagne, and it’s in the sauce.

The History of Dolmio Lasagne

Lasagna originated in Naples, Italy.

Several stories explain how lasagne came into being, but the most widely accepted claim is that it was created by the poor.

They used to make it using layers of leftover food such as pasta, tomatoes, and cheese.

However, Dolmio lasagne was developed in the 1960s and has been part of family suppers ever since.

Dolmio incorporates British and Italian heritage and still leads the way in Italian pasta sauce.

It produces the most famous and probably much-liked lasagne Dolmio in a jar.

Dolmio is pretty big in the UK, with its thick tomato & cheese sauce and a sprinkle of oregano on top, making it a delicious yet simple meal for a cold winter’s night.

The passion for producing delicious Italian recipes provides the basis for iconic meals with treasured friends and family.

Dolmio sauces create delightful, memorable meals using only the best natural ingredients in only a few minutes.

Nowadays, everyone wants to make their own lasagna Dolmio and replicate the taste of their favorite restaurant.

Yet, you have to use the freshest ingredients and top-quality Parmesan cheese to create a dish that can stand against its competitors.

How to Make Lasagne Dolmio Recipe

Making lasagne is not always as simple as it looks.

We’re so used to seeing spectacular Italian recipes on TV that we often despair when the reality does not match what we see on screen.

However, although this recipe is easy, don’t underestimate its taste.

Follow these steps for a delicious lasagna Dolmio in only twenty minutes.

Ingredients

●Lasagne sheets, one packet

●Chicken or lean beef, 500g minced

●A bottle of white Dolmio Lasagne sauce

●Dolmio Pasta sauce (one bottle)

●Dark soya sauce, two tablespoons

●Ketchup, two tablespoons

●Mayonnaise, two tablespoons

●Four large carrots

●Baby spinach, five handfuls

●Five cloves of garlic

●One to two cups halved button mushrooms

●One large onion

●One yellow, one green, and one red bell pepper

●1/2 teaspoon of salt

●Pepper powder, 1/2 teaspoon

●Grated Parmesan Cheese

●Grated mozzarella cheese

Directions

1.Fill water in a large pot, pour 2 tablespoons of oil, and heat to boil.

Turn the heat down to medium and position the lasagna sheets upright in the pan.

As the lasagna sheets cook, they will gently slide down the pan.

2.Boil the sheets for 10 minutes or more, stirring with tongs constantly to prevent them from sticking together.

When they become tender, remove them gently from the pan.

Set them apart in a tray and sprinkle some cold water on top.

3.Place 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large wok.

Cut the onion and garlic into small pieces and cook them in oil.

Then add the carrots and cook until tender.

Add the halved button mushrooms to the pan and make square cuts out of three bell peppers with a knife.

Stir-fry the vegetables for a few minutes until they’re tender and set aside.

4.Flavor with pepper powder and salt as desired.

On one side of the wok, put all the vegetables, and on the other, place the meat.

Cook it until it turns color to a golden brown.

Simmer over medium heat while frying constantly.

Please don’t put the lid back on.

Now is the time to put your Loyd spaghetti sauce.

Add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, Dolmio soy sauce, and ketchup.

5.Add meat and vegetables and cook for a few minutes.

Stir in the baby spinach when the sauce has thoroughly cooked.

Avoid closing the lid as this will cause water to leak out.

Get used to the new flavor.

6.Make sure you have a large lasagne pan on hand.

Place a layer of meat on the bottom of the pan.

Then, using lasagne sheets, neatly cover the entire service of the meat and ensure the sheets aren’t overlapping.

7.Put a layer of white sauce on top of the lasagna sheets.

Spread some cheddar cheese on top.

Add a second layer of meat.

8.Add the white sauce to the pan again and sprinkle additional cheese.

Continue this process till the dish is filled to the brim.

Sprinkle with a generous amount of Parmesan cheese.

Add a generous amount of Mozzarella to the top.

9.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake on the center shelf.

Check it after 15 minutes.

Once the top turns golden brown, remove the dish from the oven.

Allow it to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

10.Using a spatula dipped in water, gently slide the pieces onto plates.

It’s delicious when served warm with garlic bread or on its own.

The original lasagne Dolmio recipe has countless variations, but none can compare to this variety’s versatility and sheer deliciousness.

It’s hearty and tastes incredible with pasta dishes such as spaghetti Bolognese.

Freezing Lasagne Dolmio

Can you freeze lasagne Dolmio?

Yes, but you will lose a little of its quality each time.

However, if you cook a huge pot then freeze it into portions, it would make a great dish to turn to when you feel a bit down or don’t feel like cooking anything.

Lasagne Dolmio cooks well after freezing, and reheating in the microwave is simple.

It can stay for long when frozen.

Do they taste the same afterward?

That depends on how well you freeze it.
