- 6 boneless chicken thighs
- 1/2 teaspoons pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 3 celery ribs
- 2 carrots
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/3 flour
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoons pepper
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- First of all, sprinkle the chicken with ¼ tablespoon pepper or ¼ tablespoon salt.
- In the meantime, in a big skillet, warm oil on medium to high flame.
- Include chicken, cook, mix until it’s no longer pink, cook for 6-8 minutes, and transfer to a slow cooker.
- In a similar big skillet, cook carrots, celery, and onion until it tenders for almost 7-8 minutes.
- After it is done, add the tomato paste, garlic, and remaining pepper and salt and cook it for 1 minute.
- Then mix in flour and cook for almost 1 minute and whip in 2 cups chicken broth, cook and mix until it becomes thick.
- Then transfer to a slow cooker and mix in thyme, bay leaves, and leftover chicken broth.
- Whip together flour, pepper, salt, and baking powder in a big bowl for dumpling preparation.
