Meatloaf is a simple meal option for a weekday dinner, yet the extended cooking time might not align with everyone’s timetable.

Making the meatloaf in a slow cooker, on the other hand, allows you to prepare it ahead of time and serve a beautiful dinner when you’re ready to eat.

In addition, meatloaf prepared in the cooker is considerably more moister than meatloaf made in the oven.

Ingredients .

2 lbs ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 clove of garlic, minced

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1 tsp parsley

Salt & pepper, to taste

1/4 cup ketchup

.

GLAZE:

3/4 cup ketchup

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

.

Instructions .

1.Mix the ground beef, onion, eggs, breadcrumbs, garlic, milk, Italian seasoning, parsley, salt, pepper, and ketchup in a large bowl.

2.Gently stir with a wooden spoon or your hands until it comes together.

3.Put your meat mixture into the crockpot and form it into a loaf. Line the crockpot with tinfoil.

4.For 3 hours on high or 6 hours on low, cover and cook.

5.The meatloaf should now be grease-free, and you can put it on a baking sheet after covering it with tinfoil.

6.Combine ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl, and coat the meatloaf with it (you may have some leftover, use it as a dipping sauce).

7.Broil for a few minutes until bubbly and a bit browned.

8.Depending on preference, sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Notes of Suggestion: .

1.Use ground beef that is at least 80/20 or 85/15 fat; anything with a greater fat ratio will produce more grease and cause your meatloaf to shrink.

2.You can use turkey, ground beef and pork, or Italian sausage to mix up your meats.

3.Mix the ingredients gently; if you overmix your meat, it will become chewy and tough.

4.Before removing the tinfoil from the pan, drain any grease from the meatloaf; there will be fat regardless, but draining it will make it easier to arrange on the baking sheet.

5.Don’t be timid with the sauce; you could even have some remaining, which we used to dunk our bites in.
