  • 1 lb Pork
  • Two tablespoons sugar
  • Two tablespoons honey
  • One tablespoon soy sauce
  • One tablespoon fish sauce
  • One tablespoon sesame oil
  • One tablespoon Chinese five-spice
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper ground
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. First, you will need to slice the pork tenderloin into thin strips. Then, you will need to season the pork strips with your choice of seasoning. You can use salt, pepper, garlic powder, or any other spice that you like. 
  2. Place meat in the freezer for a couple of hours.
  3. Take it out of the freezer and slice it thinly into small pieces.
  4. Combine meat with all the other ingredients in a bowl. Mix until combined. Cover the bowl and place in refrigerator to marinate for at least a couple of hours or overnight.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425 °F.
  6. Place a parchment paper on a large baking tray. Spread a thin layer of marinated meat and another parchment paper on top. Press with your hand or rollover with a rolling pin until meat is spread evenly.
  7. Remove the top parchment paper. Bake in the oven for around 20 minutes.
  8. Take the meat out of the oven. When it is cool enough to handle, cut it into four pieces.
  9. Increase the oven temperature to 220 ºC and bake for another 10 minutes.
  10. Flip over jerky slices and bake for 5 more minutes.
  11. Take the meat out and leave to cool. Ready to serve! Enjoy!
