Do you enjoy Kielbasa?

Suppose you’re looking for a delicious and healthy way to cook your kielbasa.

Look no further than the air fryer!

The air fryer uses hot air to cook food, so it’s a great alternative to frying.

With the air fryer, you can cook your kielbasa until it’s crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

You can also serve it as an appetizer or snack.

Kielbasa goes well with fries, pasta, risotto, etc.

Kielbasa is a type of sausage popular in many countries around the world.

It is made from pork, beef, or lamb, often smoked or cured.

Kielbasa can be eaten cold or cooked, and it goes well with many different types of food.

This dish tastes better when served hot hence I would suggest serving it immediately after cooking for the best taste.

You can also serve it with any dip of your choice, such as buffalo sauce, barbecue sauce, etc.

What is Kielbasa?

Kielbasa, or Polish sausage, is a smoked, dried sausage that originated in Poland.

It usually consists of pork and includes beef, lamb, venison, turkey, chicken, and other ingredients.

Can you substitute smoked sausage for raw?

You can substitute smoked sausage for raw kielbasa, but you’ll need to adjust the cooking time accordingly.

The best way to tell if it is fully cooked through is by checking its internal temperature – it should be 160 degrees F before removing it from the basket.

Can I bake these instead of frying them?

I haven’t tried baking these, but I’m sure it would work.

You might want to spray the basket with a bit of nonstick cooking spray if they want to stick to the basket.

Can I serve these with other sauces besides buffalo sauce?

Yes!

Try serving them with barbecue sauce or your favorite dipping sauce for sausages.

This is the smoked kielbasa I used. I served them with French fries.

Step 1 – Coat with olive oil, salt & pepper and set aside on a baking pan.

Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F or until cooked through.

Step 2 – Meanwhile, place the Air Fryer basket in the unit and heat the Air Fryer for 2 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Step 3 – Add oil to the Air Fryer basket, add sausage, close lid of Air-Fryer, cook for 6 minutes at 400 degrees F or until crisp. For me, it was 6 minutes on one side and 1 minute on another side.

Step 4 – Remove from Air Fryer and set aside. You can serve it with your favorite sauce or dip or simply as a snack/appetizer. I served mine with French fries.

Helpful Tips

For best results (crispy outer coating), place the sausage directly in the Air Fryer basket.

Do not let them cool for too long in the basket after removing them from the oven before frying as they will steam and become limp.

If the sausage is too large to fit in the Air Fryer, cut it into smaller pieces.

Cook for 10-12 minutes at 390 degrees F.

Sausage can also be cooked in the oven at the same temperature for about 15 minutes.

Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Ketchup or Mustard are good options.

Use Air Fryer oil spray to coat the basket in between uses.

This will ensure that the kielbasa does not stick to the basket.

Alternatively, you can coat the sausage with non-stick spray but be sure to use a good quality cooking spray that doesn’t contain any trans fat or hydrogenated oils, as this is very important for high-temperature cooking.

To remove the Air Fryer basket after cooking, gently lift one side (careful not to burn yourself), then quickly grab and lift straight up.

Be sure to hold on tight as it will be hot.

Do not put the Air Fryer basket in the dishwasher.

Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

What things must you take care of while cooking in an air fryer?

The things you must take care of while cooking in Air Fryer are:

1. Don’t place the liquid or wet food inside the air fryer. As it will cause uneven cooking and result in a horrible taste dish.

2. Instead of placing many small items together, try to place them one by one so that they can cook well.

3. Don’t overload the air fryer; this will result in uneven cooking too.

4. Do not touch the food while it’s inside the Air Fryer during the cooking process because it might burn your hands after touching it.

5. After using do clean the appliance properly.

6. Be careful while lifting the basket after cooking, don’t touch or hold it with your hands because it might burn you.

7. Keep in mind that Air fryers are not meant for keeping cooked food warm, so keep this in mind while preparing something to eat later or during parties.

As far as I know, the kielbasa is not a complicated recipe to make.

It’s more of a time-consuming easy recipe that you can prepare on your own using very few ingredients.

I love trying new recipes, and I appreciate that you tried this one too.

Do I have to use a rack in this recipe?

I used a baking pan to bake the kielbasa, and it didn’t stick at all, but if you want to be on the safe side, you can place a wire rack in the Air Fryer basket and add them like this.

The kielbasa slices are great for making sandwiches.

If you prefer, cut the sausage into smaller pieces before cooking.

This is how they looked when removed from the Air Fryer.

I served them with French fries, and it was a delicious combination!

I hope you like this simple recipe which can be made in 10 minutes or less and cost just pennies.

Can I make these ahead of time and reheat them?

Yes, you can make them ahead of time and simply reheat in the Air Fryer for a few minutes (about 2 minutes per side) or 30 seconds to 1 minute on high.

With that, it’s ready to serve.

Can I have a paleo version of this recipe?

There is no such thing as a “paleo kielbasa,” so to speak, but you can simply omit the flour and fry them in some oil instead.

If you want to make a paleo version of this recipe, simply omit the kielbasa and add some bison sausage or chicken sausage.

What is your favorite side dish to serve with these?

I served these with homemade French fries, and it was delicious!

I would also recommend serving them with a salad.

My favorite way to serve these would be on top of French fries with Frank’s Red Hot Sauce and cream cheese for dipping!

So good!

What kind of kielbasa should I use?

You can use beef, pork, chicken, turkey, or even spicy sausage for this recipe.

Just check the ingredients, as some brands contain added sugar.

Is it possible to make these lower calories?

Coat with cooking spray instead of adding oil to the Air Fryer basket to lower calories.

If you choose to bake these in the oven, make sure to spray the baking pan with cooking spray before placing them on it for the best results.

Also, you can omit the butter and flour mixture if desired.

I hope you enjoy this quick and straightforward recipe!

Be sure to include kielbasa in your menu list because it can be made in many different ways.
