2. Eggs – I like to use farm-fresh eggs, but any type will work

3. Olive oil – for cooking the steak

4. Salt and pepper – to season the steak

5. Butter or margarine – for cooking the eggs

6. Toast – optional but highly recommended!

INGREDIENTS

  • Two steaks
  • Four eggs
  • Two cloves garlic
  • Two rosemary leaves
  • Two tablespoons olive oil
  • One tablespoon butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper ground

INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. Season steaks generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Preheat a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Pour in olive oil and add a tablespoon of butter. Place the meat, garlic, and rosemary in a pan and cook it for 2-3 minutes on both sides. Using a tablespoon, continually baste oil and butter mix onto steak to create a golden crust.
  4. Take the meat out of the pan and leave it to rest on a cutting board. Remove garlic and rosemary as well.
  5. Leave the pan on the heat and use it to fry the eggs. Crack the eggs in and season with some salt and pepper.
  6. Cook for around 2 minutes. Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to drain.
  7. Serve the steak and eggs with some crispy baked potatoes. Enjoy!
