Cooking timing: 6 hours

Total timing: 6 hours 15 minutes

Equipment

6-quart slow cooker

Ingredients

3 pounds baby back ribs

Two cloves garlic

Half sliced yellow onion

half cup water

Single cup of your favored BBQ sauce

Dry rub

Single tbsp of smoked paprika

One tablespoon of brown sugar

Single tbsp of chili powder

One tablespoon of garlic powder

One tablespoon of onion powder

One tablespoon of ground cumin

Two tablespoons of kosher salt

Instructions

1.Firstly you have to remove the outer membrane from the backside of the ribs. On the bourne end of the ribs, run your knife throughout the outer membrane layer until your layer begins to loose or separate.

2.Now carefully peel off the outer membrane all the way to the other side, and after that, pat dry ribs with the help of a paper towel.

3.Now in a bowl, mix all the dry rub ingredients or evenly distribute and rub the seasoning all over the ribs.

4.After it is done, place the ribs in your slow cooker and lined or curled up against the side of the pot. Now add garlic, onion, and water in the center and cover with the lid; make sure it is closed entirely.

5.Then cook on low heat for almost 6 hours until your Baby’s back ribs are tender.

Note: Do not overcook; otherwise, it will fall apart too much, so 6 hours is sufficient to cook.

9.Now your dish is ready; if desired, serve it with some of your onions from the slow cooker and more sauce. Enjoy!

Important notes

Remove your membrane on the back of the baby’s back ribs before cooking: Properly run your knife between the chicken or top membrane layer to divide it.

Utilize a six-quart slow cooker for a 4 to a 5-pound rack of ribs: It does not matter if it’s oval-shaped or round-shaped, as long as it may comfortably fit your ribs and curled around your slow cooker.

If your slow cooker is not big enough, then cut it into 2 to 3 pieces and arrange them for even cooking.

Have any issues getting the ribs out of your slow cooker? Then try cutting it into three pieces equally and lift them from the bottom with the help of a spatula.

Cooking two racks of ribs at a similar time: Utilise an oval-shaped eight-quart slow cooker to fit your two racks of ribs at a similar time. Cooking time remains the same and double the amount of rub.

Preparation tips: The dry rub may be prepared up to 1 month in advance before cooking.

Storage: You can store the remaining baby Back ribs in the airtight container and fridge for up to 2 to 3 days.
